After listening, the song felt like the act of visiting an old stomping ground with someone new, while someone from your past is in your mind.
Seamlessly ghosting
Stamos is able to be in two places at once due to our utilization of a motorized dolly whose control panel allowed us to keyframe the camera’s first and final positions.
This guaranteed the camera would have the same movement between two takes, which I masked and layered in post production.
Alluding to Stamos’s efforts in moving on from his relationship, a series of wallpapers are shown to symbolize his visiting of possible suitors.
If these walls could talk
I commissioned an artist to write this portion of the song’s lyrics. In post, I added it to the beam that passes over Stamos as he sings the lyrics.
